Luke Olin
Assistant Coach
Luke Olin has been with head coach Eddy Morgan from the beginning of his time at UW-Superior and is now in his sixth season as an assistant coach and coordinator of baseball operations with the Yellowjackets. With the Yellowjackets, Olin works with the Yellowjacket outfielders and is the team's main hitting coach.
In addition to his coaching duties, Olin works as an admissions counselor at UW-Superior.
As a player, Olin spent four years at the College of St. Scholastica, where he was an All-American third baseman. He received the honor following his senior season in 2006. Prior to his playing days at St. Scholastica, Olin played American Legion baseball with Duluth Lakeview, where he was coached by Eddy Morgan.
Olin graduated from St. Scholastica with a bachelor's degree in management in 2006. He resides in Duluth, Minn.
Nick Garramone
Assistant Coach
A native of Duluth, Minn., Nick Garramone is in his sixth season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Yellowjacket baseball team. Garramone's primary duties with the Yellowjackets lie in recruiting and working with the team's catchers.
Garramone gained his first coaching experience as an assistant coach, spending four combined sesaons at Duluth Denfeld and Proctor High Schools. He spent time coaching American Legion baseball with the West Duluth Cubs and the Proctor American Legion teams and from 2002 through 2006 was the manager of the Bayside Vipers amateur baseball club in Superior. Garramone led Bayside to its first Upper 13 League title in 2006 and was twice named the Upper 13 All-Star manager (2004, 2005).
Garramone played four seasons of college baseball for the Yellowjackets and graduated from UW-Superior in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and a double minor in coaching and sports psychology. More recently, Garramone completed his master's degree in human relations at UW-Superior.
Garramone resides in Duluth, Minn.
Jason Polikowsky
Assistant Coach
Jason Polikowsky is in his fifth season as an assistant coach of the Yellowjacket baseball team. A four-year veteran of the Yellowjacket baseball program, Polikowsky played his senior season for coach Eddy Morgan. Polikowsky is a UW-Superior graduate, earning a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 2008.
During his career, he was awarded the teams gold glove in 2006, was a two-time team MVP (2006, 2007) and also received the Mertz Mortorelli Award for being recognized as the most dedicated male athlete on campus in 2006.
Polikowsky's duties include infield position work while also helping with hitting instruction. Away from baseball, Polikowsky works for the Bernick's Pepsi distributorship in Duluth, Minn.
Polikowsky resides in Superior.
